So...I got Big A (Margaret Atwood) to sign "the edible woman" - an old ed. from the 70's that was my dad's. We got invited to a book reading for Four Letter Word, because our teacher is one of the writers (along side Big A) in the anth. My teacher's story rocked.
Big A didn't seem too thrilled to scrawl, but when i brought it home to my dad, it was all worth the awkwardness of "can you like, take this little ballpoint and sign this please?..I am a huge dork. It would like, save my life." Big A is smaller and older than I thought she would be, but neverless, mad respect for anyone who can achieve success in an industry that holds success as next to impossible.
This doesn't give me much hope for a writing "career," but was a pleasure.
