Anomaly because: He may have the highest frequency of both self-induced and touristy-yet-not-taken-abroad shots on Flickr.
Wolfgang Wildner's photography can be found on Flickr. I discovered his curious brand of photography while sourcing photos at work. He comes up in almost every search and, in the majority of streams, every photo is the same - a shot of his face looking skywards in front of a monument, crowd, or scene. This guy has been everywhere (but I don't mean internationally, I just think he takes his camera everywhere he goes). Remember the gnome in Amelie? - same magical oddity (although slightly less acceptable, because, hey, this is real life not a quirky french film). I hope these photos will be combined into one art installation somewhere - "the global face" - and that's it.
What is he looking at anyways? I've seen his You Tube feed and I'd like to think he is an artist of some sort (definitely a slow-burn). Thus, I could interpret his stationary pose in varying locations as a commentary on the unaltered sky; its unchanged perspective from anywhere in the world. (Generous maybe).
(well, for the most part).
