Here is the jist -- I ordered a book off of Amazon "Before you she was a Pitbull" -- and I was super excited about reading it. I checked the mail everyday the week Amazon told me it was to arrive. I ordered the book from the seller Powells books in the states. This book is a small printing by writer Elizabeth Ellen, so it isn't widely available.
One week later than stated (this Tues) a package arrived in the mail. It was a package, but not THE package. Inside was the wrong book! It was what is pictured above -- The Brazilians. Not a collection of short stories, but a collection of short essays on Brazil and its culture. Intersting, but not what I ordered.
The best part? The slip inside the package revealed the true orderee of the book : A Mr. Guido De Hoef from Antwerpen, Belgium! A little off right? The order will be replaced, and Powells told me I can keep The Brazilians...but should I be a good book lover and send it back to Guido? I tried to Facebook him, but I couldn't find him in any search. I suspect Powells will replace it, but I feel I should send it to him because it is a bargain item and is probably in limited supply -- thus Powells might offer him a credit. Should I send it to Belgium? I am told the cost is only about $6.
On the other hand, I do kind of want to read this book....
