Um, are those shoes Kevin's shoes? Cause we like get that he left the unit and shiz. This photo is kind of creepy.
I just re-kindled my inner 90s-tween with some vids of the Backstreet Boys (aka . the BSB, aka. The Badass Boyzz of Orlando). Ok that last part was an exaggeration. Anyhow, the BSB is back in business, and on tour, and (i'm sorry to say) blows hard. But, their old stuff reminds me why they were so precious -- look at "Get Down" - cheesy disco ball ambience mixed with a little "funk factory" rap and the boyz dressed as homies, dipping and shaking like male strippers. Luv. The best part is AJ at 3 minutes and 43 seconds. I can't stop laughing at that move -- i don't know what to call it.
I have to admit, after alot of speculation, the "Backstreet's Back" vid. in which they are vampire/Phantom/Warewolf - ized etc. has great potential to be horribly cheesy, but in my books remains awesome. I don't even care who knows this. I want to scream it from the rooftops "i love the scary BSB vid." (i remember watching it and thinking Nick was a knob but Kevin was so hot - even with lizard-ness)
Unfortunately, my memories of him dulled when I met him in person last year. He was in TO for Chicago at the Princess of Wales -- he played Billy Flynn. Although he starred in my all-time favorite musical, in person he was alot shorter, thinner, and paler than I remember. He was really nice though, very polite. Maybe it was his hiatus from the fast -paced, running men and pumping grammy's that withered his body. Hey I like nerdy, pale, thin. I love nerds. But it just wasn't the same...
