Will post an upcoming article here soon on the Golden Globes and a million other acronym-ous organizations that are undazzling this year's award ceremony.
Onto the Green segment: my house has been turned upside down on a health binge. This is NOT a new year's resolution or anything of the sort. My fam is super healthy, organic, and low-sodium, fat, etc. when we eat. However, my dad recently decided to make a new rule for the house -- to not eat anything that comes out of a package. This could be a good step towards a slim down for me and my mom, but also akin of preparation nightmares and packed lunches. I am lazy, and have only of late started to cook around the house. But again, I am lazy, and no package = scratch cooking. Scary thought.
My pantry, before the overhaul, didn't have snacks at all! It was crunch granola, nuts, grains, and soup all the way. NOW, it is a bunch of jars from the bulk barn filled with lentils, barely, basmati rice, pasta, flour etc. My house is going back to basics. We eat like horses. Hopefully this preservative phobia my house has will one day result in a trip to Aritzia to finally get jeans that my ass will cram into. Till then, I'll suffer the consequences of a slow metabolism and European assets.
